A room within a room - or maximising space in city living.
T+T love a challenge and this interiors project warranted an astute approach to space-use. A compact central London flat needed transforming in order to fit a ‘bedroom’ within a large open living space. Various concepts including floating rooms were explored, but the solution took the form of a large scale furniture piece.
The bespoke metal, glass and timber unit merged a Japanese minimalist approach - seen through the sunken bed, layers and space-saving storage - with a New York industrial vibe, expressed in the materiality. The project scope also included renovating the bathroom and kitchen, both of which where designed to align with the raw, paired-back, warm aesthetic.
